seems to be made of quality materials. it is winter now so i have not really used it yet. looking forward to the spring to try it out.

Lots of reviews here, so will only bring up new stuff. . . the ring assembles fine, if you have it upside down you will have problems. Shouldn’t one drill a small hole or two at the bottom of this thing so it will not hold water? Especially if sand will cover it. forget about the 2-cent Landmann cover sold separately.

This pit holds more wood than my whole-house woodstove. Got 7x 16″ logs in there at one point. It never looks that huge though and that’s a excellent thing.

One minor gripe is there is no burn control (not sure how they could do that anyway), so this thing has mega-oxygen available all the time, so burns quick and white. Maybe its the side shape-vents that prevent a deeper layer of coals from forming.

Having our fire up on the deck now is priceless. Very excellent buy.

we bought the larger, 12. 5 ‘ deep and it holds about 4-5 excellent size logs at a time – we like it, but it needed more sand than 5 lbs. to keep the bottom as cool as directed- we place in around 20 lbs. and filled it about an inch and half off the bottom base.

My girlfriend has everything. So coming up with a Christmas thought other than the usual was tough to say the least. She lives in a colder part of the state and often at my house we light a fire to cozy to the warmth and glow. I’m a hopeless romantic when it comes to such things and being without a fireplace at our northern house seemed out of place.

With those thoughts in mind I set out to find something nice, unusual and well made. I happened upon the Landmann Huge Sky Stars and Moons fire pit on The Amazon. com site. I ordered it and it came quickly. I was a bit astonished at how huge the box that housed the product was. Furthermore, it used an entire roll of Christmas wrapping paper to cover it.

Needless to say my girlfriend was pleased. We have fired this pit up several times and it’s glow is very inviting. We have cooked smores with our two daugthers and have had a fantastic time. It’s a wonderful product and I highly recommend it’s buy.

This product was very unique and gorgeous but my husband was worried that with a very narrow backyard situation that it would not be safe, so it was returned. All aspects of ordering and return were perfect.
